Schmoodle, in a previous life, was a fancy, Indoors-qualified junior hunter. I got the ride on him when he returned to my trainers’ last year after flunking out of a sales barn.
Schmoodle is a sweet, sweet boy around the barn, in addition to being handsome and athletic with a lovely jump. On the other hand, he is devilishly spooky under saddle, which can make him a royal pain in the a$$. (I’m glad I’m not the one who had to convince him to jump around the Royal Winter Fair, given his terror of flowers, which, you know, feature prominently in the decorations of all hunter jumps.)
He’s a 2002 Hanoverian, around 16.3hh.
